The shades came with a single lamp, the matching lamp had long ago broken. Meanwhile, the lamps didn’t have shades. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I got them home I discovered that the shades were indeed a perfect match for the lamps!  \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe style on both shades and lamps is atomic. So named after the era of the atomic bomb. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe lamps likely date from the late 1950s to the early 1960s.  The gold paint is just beginning to fault on one lamp base.  The cords are in fair working condition. Overall, these lamps are in fantastic vintage condition. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe shades are also in good condition, though the rings and spider are quite rusty. I would recommend removing the fiberglass from the rings and scrubbing them with a good degreaser and\/or some Dawn dish detergent. Let them dry. Clean the lampshade rings with some steel wool and prime and paint them with rust prevention paint such as Rustoleom. Then lace the fiberglass back to the frames with new lacing.
