I replaced it with a new wood base, painting it a deep purple and then altering the purple with black and bronze wax for added depth, which also reduced the intensity of the purple. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis lamp looks great with a 16” drum shade or our large empire shade. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eHandmade lampshades are sold separately.
