The swirling color becomes especially striking when the lamp is placed in a room with other richly colored textiles and artwork, making this an ideal statement piece for eclectic, maximalist or collected interiors.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI converted the vintage vase into a fully functional lamp using \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan\u003eall-new brass components\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e. Rather than leaving the brass bright and new, I chemically darkened the metal to create an aged patina that better complements the vintage glass.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe wood base and matching wood vase cap are also new. I painted them in a deep red finish chosen specifically to echo the red tones running through the glass and give the finished lamp a cohesive, custom-built appearance.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is not a factory-produced lamp.
