Meet Sampson, brother to Thomas and one of Amie’s earliest custom lamp builds.

Sampson was created by combining vintage lamp parts into an entirely new piece. At the center is a large clear glass ball with a beautiful quilted diamond pattern, surrounded by aged metal components with a wonderfully worn, time-earned patina. A clear glass prism tucked near the top adds one last bit of sparkle.

Rather than polishing away the years, Sampson retains the aged finish and character of his vintage components. The combination of textured glass, warm aged metal, and substantial proportions gives him a look that can move easily between traditional, eclectic, collected, maximalist, and vintage-inspired interiors.

Sampson has a broad 8" base, so he can comfortably carry a generously sized shade without looking top-heavy. He looks especially handsome with a 12"–14" drum shade or one of our Medium or Large Empire shades.
