This one-of-a-kind lamp was designed and built by Amie at Difficult Creek Lighting using salvaged vintage glass lamp parts combined with brass components to create an entirely new lamp.
The beautiful aqua/seafoam color isn't simply colored glass. The vintage glass pieces were hand painted on the interior with glass enamel and then baked to cure the finish. Painting the glass from the inside leaves the exterior beautifully smooth and glossy while allowing all of the molded details in the vintage glass to remain crisp and visible.
The result is a saturated jewel-like aqua that gives these old glass pieces an entirely new personality.
Warm brass-tone components contrast beautifully with the cool aqua glass, while the mix of different vintage glass forms gives the lamp a wonderfully eclectic silhouette. Because it was assembled from salvaged vintage components, this is a true one-of-a-kind lamp rather than a commercially manufactured design.
At 16 1/4 inches tall, it is a smaller accent lamp that's especially well suited to a bedside table, dresser, bookshelf, desk, or smaller side table.
It pairs beautifully with a variety of shade styles and colors. A small drum, empire, or tapered shade works particularly well and gives you plenty of opportunity to take the lamp from playful maximalist to quietly eclectic.
