A one-of-a-kind custom table lamp, handmade in my Scottsburg, Virginia workshop utilizing a vintage art glass vase.

The body is an extraordinary cobalt blue art-glass vase filled with sweeping ribbons of red, green, violet and lighter blue. The swirling color becomes especially striking when the lamp is placed in a room with other richly colored textiles and artwork, making this an ideal statement piece for eclectic, maximalist or collected interiors.

I converted the vintage vase into a fully functional lamp using all-new brass components. Rather than leaving the brass bright and new, I chemically darkened the metal to create an aged patina that better complements the vintage glass.

The wood base and matching wood vase cap are also new. I painted them in a deep red finish chosen specifically to echo the red tones running through the glass and give the finished lamp a cohesive, custom-built appearance.

This is not a factory-produced lamp. It is a hand-built, one-of-a-kind piece combining vintage art glass with newly fitted lamp components.

Included with the lamp is a true vintage blue glass finial - selected to complement the blue in the vase!

Measurements

  • 25.25 inches tall to top of finial
  • 18 inches to top of socket
  • Approximately 7.5 inches diameter at widest point

The lifestyle photographs show several different shade styles for inspiration. This lamp works especially well with saturated colors, patterned shades, rich textiles and bold contemporary interiors.

Because the glass body is vintage, minor irregularities, variations and signs of age may be present and are part of the character of the original vessel. Please review all photographs carefully.
