This charming vintage amber glass lamp began life as an oil lamp and had already been converted to electric when we rescued it. We gave it fresh new wiring using a clear gold cord that complements the warm amber glass beautifully.
We believe the lamp was made by U.S. Lamp Co., although we have not been able to definitively confirm the maker.
One of the interesting features of this lamp is its construction. The glass font and base are separate pieces connected by a threaded neck. Because of this construction, the lamp has a slight crookedness or lean when assembled. We consider it part of the character of this old lamp, but please review the photos carefully.
The rich amber glass has wonderful vintage warmth, especially when the lamp is illuminated. Its compact size makes it a great choice for a bedside table, small side table, desk, bookshelf, or anywhere you need a smaller accent lamp.
