Vintage 1950s Globe Mushroom Lamp | Atomic Saucer Desk Lamp | Brass Mid Century Modern Table Light

This vintage Mid-Century Modern Atomic Mushroom Lamp by Globe dates to approximately the 1950s and has that unmistakable space-age silhouette that makes lighting from this era so much fun.

Made from brass-plated metal with an aged bronze/brass finish, the lamp features a wide 14-inch round saucer shade supported by a slender architectural column and substantial round base. Its low, broad shade gives it the classic mushroom profile associated with Atomic and Mid-Century Modern lighting.

At 16.5 inches tall, it is a great size for a desk, side table, console, credenza, or bar area.

I do not believe the brown electrical cord is original to the lamp. With that said, the lamp has not been rewired or electrically restored here at Difficult Creek Lighting and is being sold with its existing wiring.

The lamp is currently in working condition.

As expected with a vintage piece of this age, there is some cosmetic wear. There are a few small spots of white paint on the shade as well as areas of deterioration or finish loss on the base. Please review the photographs carefully for condition.

One working secondhand light bulb is included. The bulb/socket connection can be a little finicky, and you may need to adjust the bulb slightly after seating it to establish proper contact.
