A fantastic piece of 1950s Atomic Age lighting, this vintage desk or table lamp was made by Globe and features the unmistakable saucer-shaped shade and streamlined silhouette associated with Mid-Century Modern design.

The lamp is constructed of brass-plated metal with a dark, aged bronze/brass finish. Its broad 14-inch mushroom or saucer shade appears to float above the slender column, giving the lamp a wonderfully architectural profile. This is the sort of lighting that can hold its own on a desk, console, side table, or bar cabinet without needing a separate lampshade.

The lamp dates to approximately the 1950s and shows age and wear consistent with a vintage piece. There are several small spots of white paint on the shade as well as areas on the base where the original finish has deteriorated. Please review the photos carefully, as these cosmetic imperfections are part of the lamp's current condition.

I do not believe the electrical cord is original to the lamp.

The lamp is currently in working condition; however, it has NOT been rewired or electrically restored by Difficult Creek Lighting.

One working secondhand light bulb is included. The bulb/socket connection can be a little finicky and the bulb may need to be adjusted slightly after installation to make proper contact, but it does work.
