Meet Ellie Elephant, a one-of-a-kind hand-painted lamp that turns functional lighting into a piece of art.

Ellie was hand painted in our Southern Virginia workshop by artist Kendy Sawyer, with an intricate design inspired by traditional Indian henna art. Swirling lines, florals and organic patterns travel across the elephant in rich shades of blue, purple, pink, green and turquoise, creating a wonderfully layered design against the dark background.

Once the painting was complete, Ellie was finished with a protective polyacrylic top coat to help preserve the artwork.

With her curled trunk, sculptural shape and exuberant hand-painted finish, Ellie is made for a home that isn't interested in blending into the background. She would be especially fun in an eclectic, maximalist, bohemian or globally inspired interior.
