Pair Vintage 1970s Black & Gold Table Lamps with Original Fiberglass Shades | Hollywood Regency MCM

A fabulous matched pair of vintage black and gold table lamps, complete with their original fiberglass shades.

These lamps have a striking late mid-century look, with glossy black ceramic bodies accented by textured gold geometric detailing. The combination of black, gold, and ivory gives them a wonderful Hollywood Regency feel while still fitting beautifully into a mid-century modern or eclectic interior.

The original fiberglass shades are a particularly special feature of this pair. They have a warm ivory finish with a repeating geometric border near the top, finished with dark trim along the upper and lower edges. The shades have a very subtle taper, measuring just slightly smaller at the top than at the bottom, giving them that distinctive tall vintage profile.

Finding a matching pair of vintage lamps with their original fiberglass shades still intact is becoming increasingly difficult, and the shades give these lamps exactly the proportions and character they were designed to have.

Both lamps have been updated with new wiring and new sockets, allowing the electrical components to be refreshed while preserving the vintage appearance of the lamps.
