Beautiful vintage Blanc de Chine style table lamp featuring an intricate pierced porcelain body with a raised cherry blossom and branch design. The openwork ceramic gives the lamp wonderful texture and dimension, while the creamy white porcelain is contrasted by a dark wood base and brass-toned hardware.
The lamp retains a Made in Hong Kong sticker on the underside, helping identify its vintage Asian origin. This style of pierced white porcelain lighting was especially popular in mid-century and Hollywood Regency interiors and works beautifully today in traditional, chinoiserie, grandmillennial, eclectic, or maximalist spaces.
The lamp has a 3-way socket for multiple light levels when used with a compatible 3-way bulb.
The cord has not been replaced. However, it appears to be a newer replacement cord rather than the lamp's original wiring and has a modern polarized plug.
