Description

A truly unusual vintage lamp with a wonderful mix of cranberry glass, clear pressed glass, metal and marble.

The centerpiece is the tall cranberry-red glass body, decorated with delicate etched floral and botanical details along with a border of etched dots. Interestingly, I believe this cranberry glass piece may have originally been made as a glass lampshade or chimney and was later incorporated into the lamp. I have not been able to confirm its original purpose, but its form and decoration certainly make it an intriguing possibility.

Below the cranberry glass is a beautifully molded clear glass section resting on a substantial square white marble base. The combination gives the lamp an almost jewel-like quality, especially when light passes through the cranberry glass.

This lamp has been cleaned and updated with new wiring and a new socket, so it is ready to return to service.

Measurements:

25.75” tall to the top of the finial
18.5” tall to the top of the socket
5” x 5” marble base

Condition:

Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear to the original components. The lamp has been fitted with new wiring and a new socket. Please review all photographs carefully as they are part of the description.

Lampshade is not included. The shades shown in styled photographs are for display and inspiration only. Our handmade lampshades are available separately, and I’m happy to help with selecting or creating a shade specifically for this lamp.
