A wonderfully bold piece of functional folk art, this vintage painted wood table lamp was hand painted by Kendy Sawyer in a rich, cheerful palette of turquoise, deep red, and mustard yellow.
The tall turned-wood body is made up of stacked sculptural forms, each individually decorated with hand-painted florals, geometric motifs, dots, and scrolling accents. Even the square pedestal base is fully decorated, giving the lamp fantastic detail from top to bottom.
At 34 inches tall, this is a substantial statement lamp with plenty of presence for an end table, console, buffet, or reading nook. Its colorful folk-art character works beautifully in eclectic, bohemian, maximalist, Southwestern-inspired, and collected vintage interiors.
A matching hand-painted wood finial is included, completing the look. The lamp is shown styled with a 16-inch drum shade, which is an especially flattering proportion for the tall, narrow base.
